It’s so obvious when a girl screams attention by posting a pretty picture and saying… “ugh why am i so fat?” Or “ugh i hate my face.” We get it. You want the world to tell you “No way Stacy! You’re gorgeous and like so freaking skinny!” Gimmie a break.

The Brand New Stage

Chuck Taylor’s have been one of my favorite kind of sneakers for along time. I personally love the all whites or canvas color. This is the kind of, sort of, awkward stage. Feels nice to have brand new shoes on but chuck’s never look good fresh out the box. First of all they are uncomfortable and give the worst blisters (especially in the summer). Plus everything is too bright. It’s almost like a “douche bag” type of feeling. I end up making sure I step in a dust of dirt to get to the next stage…
The “Gently Used” Stage

The “Gently Used” Stage The perfect stage of them all. They are worn in perfectly, have just a couple imperfect-perfect stains. And maybe just a sprinkle of dirt on the sides. It doesnt state “dirty” rather it states some personality.
The “RIP along time ago/needs to be retired” Stage:

I seriously have never understood how people could wear shoes like this to their final thread. First of all they look and smell horrible. In high school I used to see kids wear their chuck’s like this all the time, the sole almost worn to the ground and laces all chewed up and basically gone. I know it’s not because people are poor because chucks only cost $40 or less. It’s more of a statement I guess? To top this little dirty and gross trend… why do people draw on their damn shoes? What are we, in elementary school? I’ll never get it. But it is so obvious when you have to let your funky smelling/gross looking chuck taylors away.
